thunder breaks out

lush green skies

                                   dribble

Lime green rice paddies,

terrace after terrace

in the breeze,

under yellow coconuts

                                   sway

White lotus blooms,

under mid night moon

Holy Mt. Agung sleeps,

Mystic  ring of clouds

around her neck

                                   rain

Holy mountain,

holding river secrets,

bathers in their mandi*

                                   spill

Grazing cow moans,

 Salamander gazes

Frog belches

                                   tinkle

Gamelan hammers,

back and forth

tuned with rainy

lazy afternoon woes

                                   shower

Spiritual seekers,

wrapped in ritual batik

*Mandi means bath
